Four Lessons From John the Baptist

By Sarah Damm Friday is the Solemnity of the Nativity of John the Baptist. As I reflect on John’s life, four themes stand out. Leap for joy. When Mary went to visit Elizabeth, John “leaped for joy” in her womb at the sound of Mary’s greeting (Luke 1:44). From before his birth, John joyfully recognized God’s plan as well as his... [Read more...]

Who Do You Say That I Am?

Who do you

By Alyssa Bormes By the time you read this, I will be facing the craziest decision that I’ve ever made … to walk the Camino de Santiago de Compestela, a 500-hundred-mile trek across Spain. I first heard about it in 2004, and then a few years ago, my stepsister Brenda mentioned it. Then, I said something ridiculous like, “Let’s go!” Plans have been made, and by that I mean Brenda has done tons of research and keeps sharing that... [Read more...]

    The Roots of WINE

    * While WINE is a national ministry, it is beginning by taking root and growing in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Working in partnership with the Archdiocesan Office of Evangelization and Catechesis, WINE will roll out in Archdiocesan parishes in the fall of 2015. We invite you to follow along, to join in with our online book club, to explore our website and to attend any WINE events. We also invite you to join us in prayer for this beautiful women’s ministry as we grow. It is our hope that women on fire for their faith will see the beautiful fruit of WINE and soon it will spread to all corners of the world.
