On Sunday we celebrated the canonization of St. (Mother) Teresa of Calcutta.
Instead of our regular New WINE Wednesday, let’s ponder a few of her famous quotes.
“Do ordinary things with extraordinary love,”
“Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the action that we do,”
“We have been created for greater things, to love and be loved,”
“I do not agree with the big way of doing things. To us, what matters is an individual,”
“Let us always meet each other with a smile, for the smile is the beginning of love,”
“We fear the future because we are wasting the today,”
These quotes, short and to the point, remind me of the power of this tiny little woman who loved greatly and helped change the world one person at a time. Too often I think I need to do something big to please God, when all he wants from me is to do what he has created me to do.
