Advent Daily Reflections
Dear Sisters in Christ,
I’m so delighted to be your spiritual companion during the blessed weeks ofAdvent!
My name is Nancy Jo Sullivan. I’m a Minnesota author, speaker, and mom of two great daughters and a brand new son-in-law.
As a member of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, I’m an avid supporter of WINE: Women in the New Evangelization. I love the idea of Catholic women bringing revival to our church through the sharing of our collective gifts.
Last February, 1,000 women attended the first annual WINE: Catholic Women’s Conference in Coon Rapids, MN. Many of these women have gone back to their parishes and launched small groups, book clubs, retreats, and other outreach events for women. What a blessing to see our gifts alive and at work in our communities of faith!
The gift I bring to WINE is my love of writing. Over the four weeks of Advent, I’ll be offering a series of daily reflections to help you prepare for Christmas. The Sunday reflections in this series follow the Lectionary. During the weekdays, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite scripture passages and highlighting themes of prayer, waiting, and the power of hope. Along the way, we’ll discover spiritual applications for our everyday lives through a variety of vignettes. I’ll also be weaving stories of Mary and Elizabeth throughout these weeks and passing along some of their best lessons.
These daily reflections will not go out to the entire WINE mailing list. So, if you would like to receive them, please sign up HERE.
I will be praying that these simple devotions will enrich your Advent journey.
