Who Are We?
“… the new wine is found in the cluster” (Isaiah 65:8)
WINE: Women In the New Evangelization is about empowering women to work within their God-given gifts as women to nurture, heal and build up the body of Christ.
Through much prayer, the women who have come together from around the country to form WINE, came to understand that whereas the Lord said to St. Francis, “Rebuild my Church,” for such a time as this, the Lord is calling to women, asking us to work in the beauty of our natural gifts as women, and is saying to us, “Heal my body.”
We are called to build the kingdom of God by using those special gifts and charisms He has given to us for that exact purpose, and right now, the body of Christ is battered, bruised and broken, and the Lord is asking you to help heal His body. Will you? He is asking you to nurture His body. Will you? He is asking you to build up His body by working in your gifts—gifts given to you for such a time as this!
National WINE Core Team
The WINE Core Team consists of over 50 women from across the country on fire with their faith. This talented group actively plans events, leads studies, creates programming, speaks and writes for WINE. These are the busy bees of the vineyard! As the message of WINE grows and expands we will be looking for additional core team members. If you feel the Lord has put it on your heart to join us in the vineyard as part of the WINE Core Team, please contact Kelly Wahlquist at firstname.lastname@example.org.
WINE Specialists are a team of women in your area who… you guessed it… specialize in WINE: Women In the New Evangelization. WINE Specialists work directly with you and your core team to implement and grow your WINE Chapter. These women offer a wealth of knowledge when it comes to running fruitful women’s ministries and they eagerly look forward to supporting you and your team.
WINE Enthusiasts are key promoters in parishes that help spread the mission of WINE. The word “Enthusiast” is derived from two Greek words: “en” meaning IN and “theos” meaning GOD. To be a WINE Enthusiast means you have the Holy Spirit in you, and you can’t help but want to share the Gospel with your sisters!
